Pizza (home made...yum!)

How about getting your hands a bit dirty and make some effort to get excited with what you made yourself? It’s simple, it’s quick and it differs a lot from the flat pieces you get from a restaurant. Homemade pizza is big, thick, juicy, and it’s just yum. And again, we need yeast. I have never used dried yeast and I never will. If you want to use any of my recipes including yeast, make sure you get the fresh one from the Polish shop. It’s in 100 grams packets, easy to store and easy to freeze if you’re not using the whole packet.

Ingredients for topping:

Smoked Polish sausage (preferred “Zwyczajna”) 0.5 kg
Mushrooms 0.5 kg
1 big onion
Mild cheese 0.5 kg

Preparation of the stuffing:
Chop sausage in cubes and fry. Chop mushrooms in quarters and fry. Slice the onion and fry till soft.

Ingredients for the dough:

3 cups of flour
Fresh yeast (20 grams)
3 tablespoons of oil
1 egg
1 nutmeg (not necessary)
2 teaspoons of sugar
1 glass of milk

Preparation of the dough:
Dissolve yeast in milk and sugar. Add the mixture to the flour and nee the doe. When ready, place onto a baking tray. Add the topping.

Final touch:
In a separate bowl mix 2 eggs, pinch of pepper and half a cup of sour cream. Stir well and pour evenly over the stuffing. Cover everything with grated cheese.

Place the tray in a preheated oven and bake for 20-30 minutes in 180 degrees.
